The Weather Outside Is Frightful | A Christmas Blizzard and an Occult Axeman

A trail of blood leads a patrolwoman into a Christmas nightmare in Shane Migliavacca’s “The Weather Outside Is Frightful.” During a 1973 blizzard, Halsey Stone and her partner investigate a report of screaming. A survivor points them toward a wounded attacker, and Stone follows the fading evidence into an abandoned theater. This winter slasher combines police pursuit, occult obsession and a storm that cuts off help. The man inside believes his ax has a sacred purpose. Stone must get close enough to stop him.
