The Strickfield Slasher: A Cursed VHS Brings a Forgotten Killer to Life

From Weekly Spooky: Scary Christmas Stories | Terrifying Tales to Creep Your Holiday Henrique Couto | Scary Stories & Horror Expert

A rare VHS copy of “The Strickfield Slasher” looks like the perfect Halloween movie-night discovery. Its history leads back to a 1971 student production at Grimm Manor—and an actor who took his role much too far. When Briana and her friends press play, the danger refuses to stay inside the screen. Rob Fields’s haunted-media horror story turns a lost slasher film into a threat to its new audience. The tape may be old, but the cleaver-wielding figure on it has unfinished business with anyone willing to watch.
