The House in the Woods | Spider Horror in Oregon’s Alder Creek Woods

A hiker searching for an Oregon ghost town discovers a house guarded by spider-filled jack-o’-lanterns. Inside lies enough treasure to change his life, along with an eight-eyed creature he barely escapes. Years later, his wife Sarah needs an operation he cannot afford, and the memory of that hidden fortune draws him back toward Alder Creek. Told as a letter he hopes she never reads, “The House in the Woods” pits devotion against the knowledge that something monstrous is still waiting among the trees. A woodland creature-horror story by Bruce Haney.
