The God Tongue | A Hunter Gains a Voice That Begins Rewriting His Flesh

A hunter gains an impossible voice after killing the wrong creature in Dan Wilder’s “The God Tongue.” Born without a tongue, Ezra lives alone in the forests outside Jayden’s Cross. During an autumn hunt, he mistakes an antlered figure for a stag. What it carries becomes a gift he never asked for: a new tongue, strange voices and markings that begin spreading across his skin. This forest body-horror story follows a promise of speech into a transformation beyond human language. Something in the mist has chosen Ezra, and it has much more to say.
