Cat’s Out of the Bag | A Dead Pet and a Sister’s Dangerous Cover-Up

Hiding a dead cat seems easier than telling the truth in Morgan Moore’s “Cat’s Out of the Bag.” Michelle and Arianna accidentally run over Munk, the black cat adored by Michelle’s younger brother Mark. They dispose of the body and let him believe his pet has vanished. As Mark searches, Michelle’s guilt turns every dark corner into a possible hiding place for the animal she killed. This domestic horror story follows a small lie toward a much larger family secret. Michelle fears what will happen if her brother finds out. Silence may be the worse choice.
