The Backrooms: Found Footage Horror & Liminal Space Internet Folklore | Thursday Thrills

The Backrooms turns empty yellow rooms and buzzing fluorescent lights into a place you might never escape. Thursday Thrills explores the internet horror legend, from its 2019 message-board origins to Kane Pixels' found footage series and the A24 film Backrooms, directed by Kane Parsons. This May 2026 episode looks at liminal spaces, analog horror, and the unsettling familiarity of corridors that seem to lead nowhere. Why can an empty building feel more threatening than a visible monster? Follow the creepypasta that made getting lost feel like slipping out of reality itself.
