The Backroads Cryptid: A Drug-Fueled Ride Into a Rural Monster Nightmare

A man wakes in a freezing pasture with missing hours, a dead phone, and no idea how he got there. The Backroads Cryptid by Bruce Haney follows a disastrous party into rural Oregon, where two strangers say a creature attacked their car. Their story sounds impossible until the darkness beyond the farmhouse starts to feel occupied. This Weekly Spooky horror fiction mixes drug-fueled paranoia, isolated farmland, and a savage monster encounter. Getting home means deciding whose account to trust and whether the people offering shelter are any safer than whatever is waiting outside the door.
