Terrifying & True | Werewolf of Defiance: Ohio’s 1972 Railroad-Track Sightings

The Werewolf of Defiance stalked Ohio’s railroad tracks in a brief wave of reported sightings in 1972. Workers described a large, hairy figure with an animal-like head; one account included an encounter with something carrying a wooden board. Terrifying & True follows the newspaper attention, police response and local fear that turned the reports into enduring cryptid folklore. Witness claims, possible pranks and familiar animals all belong in the discussion. What moved through the rail yard after dark—and why did a werewolf become the explanation? We're telling that story tonight.
