Terrifying & True | Sodder Children: The Christmas Fire & Five Missing Siblings

Five Sodder children were believed to be upstairs when their West Virginia home burned early on Christmas Day in 1945. Their parents escaped but never accepted that the fire explained everything. Terrifying & True follows the failed rescue attempts, the lack of clearly identifiable remains, reported sightings and the photograph that kept the family searching. The episode weighs disputed clues against the uncertainty left by a devastating blaze. Were Maurice, Martha, Louis, Jennie and Betty lost in the fire, or did the family’s unanswered questions point elsewhere? We're telling that story tonight.
