Terrifying & True | Ronald Gene Simmons: The Christmas Familicide & Arkansas Mass Murder

Ronald Gene Simmons killed sixteen people in Arkansas during Christmas week in 1987. Terrifying & True follows the family isolation and abuse preceding the murders, the killings at the household and the later attacks in Russellville. Written by Morgan Moore, this episode examines the investigation and court proceedings without losing sight of the relatives, children and coworkers whose lives were taken. A holiday gathering became part of a plan built around control and grievance. What warning signs surrounded Simmons before the violence reached its final days? We're telling that story tonight.
