Terrifying & True | Alferd Packer: The Colorado Cannibal’s 1874 Expedition & Murder Trials

Six men entered Colorado's San Juan Mountains in the winter of 1874. Alferd Packer returned alone, with explanations that changed as suspicion grew. Terrifying & True follows the trek after Chief Ouray's warning, the discovery of five companions' remains, and the trials that made Packer the 'Colorado Cannibal.' Survival claims meet physical evidence, escape, and a legal history more complicated than the legend. Also known as Alfred Packer, he is the central voice in an account others could not contradict. What can the record establish about the deaths, and where does folklore take over?
