Stakes ’n Shoguns | Count Dracula at a New Year’s Eve Grindhouse

Count Dracula turns a New Year’s Eve movie night into a vampire siege in “Stakes ’n Shoguns” by Dan Wilder. A Manhattan grindhouse patron only wants to watch Shogun Assassin, but something is feeding among the front-row sleepers. With the exits blocked and bats gathering, surviving the screening will require more than a taste for screen violence. A blood-bank receptionist, a disreputable priest and improvised defenses face the oldest predator in the building. Expect profane dark comedy, shabby cinema atmosphere and a midnight celebration with very sharp teeth.
