Roxie | A Mysterious Stranger and Supernatural Obsession

An intoxicating stranger makes a deadly impression in Charles Campbell’s “Roxie.” Jake Blackmon meets her while walking his dog and feels an attraction he cannot explain. She offers no surname or history, then disappears as suddenly as she arrived. When she returns a year later, the promise Jake made in her presence becomes something she expects him to honor. This supernatural horror story follows desire into manipulation and violence. Jake calls it love, but how much of his devotion is still his own?
