Monthly Spooky | Friday the 13th, Hvaldimir the “Spy Whale” & a Lost Cat’s Return

Why is Friday the 13th considered unlucky? Henrique Couto and Michelle explore the superstition in Monthly Spooky’s September 2024 conversation. Strange news includes Drifter, a cat rescued from a Minnesota sewer, and the death of Hvaldimir, the beluga nicknamed the Russian “spy whale.” The hosts react to the reports circulating at the time, alongside eerie ghost-photo claims. From a missing pet’s return to fears attached to a date, the crypt mixes folklore, odd headlines and macabre humor.
