Matriarch: A Sorority’s Initiation into an Immortal Ghoul Family

A sorority night out at the Strickfield Drive-In leads Jaxey Jynx and her friends toward a family with an appetite for new members. What begins with flirting and a movie becomes an invitation into something older, darker and harder to leave than campus life. Rob Fields’s “Matriarch” follows Jaxey, Renny Stafford and Paulette Peterson into a supernatural horror story of ghoul kinship and dangerous belonging. Being welcomed into a family can feel like a privilege—until you discover what that family expects you to become.
