Lucien Greyshire and the Ghost from Applebee’s | A Poltergeist’s Strange Job Offer

A teenage poltergeist gets an unusual job offer in “Lucien Greyshire and the Ghost from Applebee’s” by L. F. Falconer. Lucien can see the dead, and his Halloween entertainment business has a place for talents the living cannot provide. At a restaurant, he recruits a restless spirit who remembers little of his own past. Work and companionship sound like a second chance, but Lucien’s kindness comes with secrets of its own. This ghost story blends afterlife melancholy and macabre humor with a troubling question: how well should you know the man offering you a future?
