From Weekly Spooky: Scary Christmas Stories | Terrifying Tales to Creep Your Holiday Henrique Couto | Scary Stories & Horror Expert

Jeff the Killer's pale face and 'Go to sleep' became creepypasta shorthand for a nightmare. Thursday Thrills follows the fictional killer's origin stories and the image edits that turned him into internet folklore. Henrique Couto traces Sesseur, GameFuelTV, Japanese image boards, prettyFACE, and the 'White Powder' trail, then examines how a false story about a bullied girl became attached to the face. Jane the Killer and Homicidal Liu show the legend branching into new characters. Explore how altered pictures, conflicting memories, and rumors helped a made-up killer acquire a past.
