High Beams on Christmas — A Deadly Drive Through Strickfield

A Christmas party ends, and Rhea Auman sets off through Strickfield expecting to make it home for family dinner. Then another driver’s high beams begin turning an ordinary journey into a frightening encounter. Is the vehicle behind her a threat, a warning or something she cannot afford to misunderstand? Rob Fields’s “High Beams on Christmas” brings a familiar road-horror legend into the Strickfield universe, where loneliness and holiday plans can leave someone dangerously exposed. Keep your eyes on the mirror—and listen before the next flash.
