Erasure: A Cursed VHS That Makes People Disappear on Halloween

A cursed VHS turns Halloween movie night into a nightmare of vanishing people and rewritten memories. In Morgan Moore’s “Erasure,” seven-year-old Joey helps his brother Chris and a friend sneak a forbidden horror rental out of Binford Video. What plays on the tape is far worse than an R-rated movie. When Chris disappears, Joey must confront the shopkeeper who knows what the static can do. This feature-length horror novella mixes video-store nostalgia, occult secrets and a younger brother’s longing to be noticed. What remains of someone when even their family forgets?
