Dirt Babies — Killer Halloween Crafts and Babysitter Horror

A child’s grass-growing craft project should be harmless. Add soil with a terrible history, and the little figures become something babysitter Kristin cannot safely turn her back on. Bruce Haney’s “Dirt Babies” brings killer-creature horror to a Halloween household, mixing 1990s nostalgia, gruesome invention and dark humor as a familiar school activity develops a monstrous appetite. This feature-length story turns the job of protecting a child into a battle against threats small enough to hide all over the house. The grass may be growing—but so is the danger.
