Cutting Deep Into Horror | Murder Party (2007): Halloween Horror Comedy & Art-World Satire

From Weekly Spooky: Scary Christmas Stories | Terrifying Tales to Creep Your Holiday Henrique Couto | Scary Stories & Horror Expert

“Murder Party” (2007) turns a Halloween invitation into an art-world nightmare: a lonely man arrives at a Brooklyn warehouse, and the artists inside plan to make his death their masterpiece. Henrique Couto and Rachael Redolfi discuss Jeremy Saulnier’s horror comedy, its homemade costume, practical gore, low-budget ingenuity, and merciless satire of creative insecurity. Rachael brings an art-school perspective to a party where everyone wants recognition and nobody agrees on the murder. Cutting Deep Into Horror includes full-film spoilers.
