Christmas Cranberries | A Cruel Child and a Terrible Christmas Wish

A red baseball bat tops Ronnie’s Christmas list in L.F. Falconer’s “Christmas Cranberries.” The seven-year-old hides acts of cruelty from his parents and associates hurting animals with a sweet, familiar taste. He plans to behave just long enough to get his present, despite his grandparents’ warning about the dark companion who punishes bad children. This disturbing holiday horror story follows a family struggling to see what lies behind a child’s innocent face. Ronnie believes Christmas will reward him. Someone else in the house has begun to understand what he wants to do next.
