Bloody Mary | A Sleepover Dare and a Haunted-Mirror Urban Legend

The Bloody Mary mirror ritual gives a school bully a new way to try scaring Madelyne in Rob Fields’ “Bloody Mary.” Arial Mirren has planned a Strickfield sleepover prank, but her coffee-loving classmate refuses to be frightened. After the party, the other girls start seeing someone in their reflections—and Madelyne is the one they turn to for help. A haunted-mirror urban legend becomes a mischievous ghost story about friendship, bullying and the difference between pretending to be fearless and knowing something nobody else does.
