Biting Cold | A Wounded Hunter Faces a Beast in a Christmas Blizzard
A wounded hunter has one hand, a fading phone battery and a beast waiting in the snow in Jeff Carpenter’s “Biting Cold.” An avalanche has left him stranded as Christmas approaches. He needs to make a fire before exposure finishes what the animal began, while saved messages from his daughter give him a reason to keep moving. This winter survival-horror story pits a broken body against hunger, blood loss and the long night. Narrated by Henrique Couto, with music and sound design by Ray Mattis, it brings the frozen wilderness close enough to hear.
