WKPWP Interview Classic (5 Yrs Ago): Ex-WWE Creative Matt McCarthy talking Reigns, McMahon, Draft Insights, stand-up vs. wrestling

In this week's Interview Classic episode, we jump back five years to PWTorch editor Wade Keller's Apr. 22, 2017 interview with former WWE creative team writer Matt McCarthy. Topics are wide-ranging including how the Superstar Shake-up affects the creative process in WWE and how wrestlers are linked with writers and how that can change after roster changes, how stand-up comedy and pro wrestling both share a need to address political correctness and how each approach it differently because they serve different purposes, whether pro wrestlers should do a better job protecting their characters and how that compares to stand-up comedians on and off camera and in social media, reaction to the Big Show vs. Braun Strowman ring collapsing angle and the upside and potential opponents for Strowman, the Roman Reigns fan reaction on the Raw After Mania, and more.
