CAMH & NCCIH - Considering impacts of & responses to climate change through participatory filmmaking
(Le français suit l'anglais) CAMH and NCCIH film screening (webinar) - Considering impacts of and responses to climate change through participatory filmmaking This audio recording of the film screening “Considering impacts of and responses to climate change through participatory filmmaking: Youth perspectives from Yellowknife and the experiences of the Philippines Indigenous diaspora in Toronto" screens two films that were developed through a participatory action approach to share experiences related to climate change. One film was developed by youth involved with Home Base Yellowknife, an organization that supports young people who lack housing or are precariously housed. The second film was developed by Indigenous leaders and community members from the Philippines who now reside in Toronto. These films are part of a broader national initiative that is working to address disproportionate health impacts of climate change on individuals and communities experiencing poverty, marginalization, and social exclusion across Canada.
