Introduction to the Veterinary Surgery Podcast

Hello, and welcome. I am Der. Jolle Kirpensteijn, and if you have found your way here, chances are you are a veterinary surgeon, a surgical resident, a student with a scalpel dream, or someone who simply cannot stop thinking about what happens in the operating room. This podcast is for you. Surgery is a discipline that rewards curiosity, humility, and the willingness to keep learning long after the diploma is on the wall. That is the spirit behind what we are building here, a space for conversation, reflection, and the kind of honest exchange that does not always fit neatly into a lecture hall or a journal article. We are just getting started, and there is a great deal more to come. Cases, conversations, controversies, and a few things that might surprise you. Stay with us. It is going to be a good one.

The Veterinary Surgery Podcast is a first of its kind podcast that focuses on surgical advance in veterinary medicine with host Dr. Jolle Kirpensteijn. Jolle is a diplomate of the American and European Colleges of Veterinary Surgery and has lots of experience in veterinary surgery. Jolle will interview fellow surgeons, review articles that are recently published and will discuss 2 books he will be working on in the near future. You can also follow Jolle on his Global Veterinary Surgery Facebook or Instagram pages.
