Episode #130 - From Rookie to Rockstar: Randy Wild's Journey to Becoming a Top Short-Term Rental Investor
In this episode of The Vacation Rental Revolution Podcast, I get to chat with with Randy Wild, a seasoned short-term rental investor with a background in construction. Randy's interest in short-term rental investing grew after a vacation in Navarre, Florida, where he saw the opportunity for large rental properties catering to multigenerational families, which were lacking in the area. As a result, he made the decision to build a nine-bed, ten-bath, 5000 square foot rental property specifically designed for the short-term rental market. When it comes to the decision of building from scratch versus buying existing properties, Randy emphasized the advantage of building from scratch, allowing for the design of the layout to maximize the guest experience and occupancy, catering specifically to the target audience. Our conversations offers valuable insights into Randy's journey and the considerations involved in short-term rental investing as well as navigating the decision to build from scratch or buy an existing home.
