Trump Envoys Meet Putin, Seek Ukraine Peace

President Trumps envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, held a significant five-hour meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin, marking the first public acknowledgment of direct negotiations with Moscow. The talks aimed to broker a peace agreement in Ukraine, with President Trump describing them as reasonably good and later very good. The peace plan, originating from private negotiations in Miami, proposes a frozen front line as a de facto border and various security guarantees. However, the proposal has faced criticism due to perceived concessions to Russian demands, with no concrete deal reached yet. The Daily News Now! - Every city. Every story. AI Powered.
