Space Force Nears Tech to Jam Satellites Remotely
The U.S. Space Force is set to deploy two new high-tech weapons systems, Meadowlands and Remote Modular Terminal, to counter Chinese and Russian spy satellites. These systems, developed by L Three Harris Technologies and Northstrat Incorporated, will join the existing Counter Communications System, providing U.S. forces with more flexibility in space defense. The Meadowlands system, despite initial delays, is expected to be operational within this fiscal year, while the Remote Modular Terminal is already in early use at undisclosed overseas locations. The Pentagon plans to acquire up to thirty-two Meadowlands systems and twenty-four Remote Modular Terminals, enhancing the U.S.'s space-based defense capabilities amidst growing tensions with China and Russia.
