Pentagon's DOGE Unit to Revamp Military Drone Program

The Pentagon's DOGE unit is revolutionizing the U.S. military's drone program, aiming to acquire tens of thousands of affordable, American-made drones in the next few months. Led by former Marine and Goldman Sachs energy trader Owen West, the DOGE team is pushing for faster drone acquisition, increased domestic production, and new training programs. This push comes after recognizing the importance of drones in modern warfare, as seen in Ukraine, and is part of a White House executive order elevating drones to a top defense priority. Companies like Red Cat, Skydio, and PDW, along with venture startup Neros, are poised to benefit from this initiative. The Daily News Now! - Every city. Every story. AI Powered. Hosted on Acast.
