Iran Plot to Assassinate Israel's Ambassador

On November seventh, a US official exposed a chilling plot by Irans Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to assassinate Israels ambassador to Mexico, marking a concerning pattern of Irans global targeting of diplomats, journalists, and dissidents. This revelation comes amidst a series of disrupted Iran-linked plots in Britain and Sweden, with London alone thwarting twenty such plots since 2022. The director general of Britains MI5, Ken McCallum, recently warned of Irans global efforts to silence its critics, citing examples in Australia and the Netherlands. This incident adds to a long history of tensions, particularly between Iran and Israel, with the US and its allies often accusing Iran of attempting violent attacks against those who oppose them.
