ICE's 'Catahoula Crunch' Targets Released Criminals

Operation Catahoula Crunch launched in New Orleans targets non-citizens released despite federal requests, focusing on individuals with criminal histories. The initiative aims to address DHSs concerns about sanctuary city policies, which they believe endanger communities by releasing offenders. The operation specifically targets violent criminals, including those with prior removals or pending federal detainers, who were arrested for serious offenses like home invasion, armed robbery, and rape. Arrests are expected to continue in the coming days. The Daily News Now! - Every city. Every story. AI Powered. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
