Gaza Ceasefire Talks: Hamas Fighters in Tunnels

On November tenth, American mediators meet with Israels prime minister to discuss the next phase of the Gaza ceasefire deal, focusing on a standoff involving Hamas fighters in tunnels. The meeting comes after a truce brokered by Washington and regional countries. The new phase faces hurdles, including resolving the issue of the trapped fighters and long-standing issues. Mediators aim to give fighters safe passage back to Hamas-controlled areas in exchange for disarmament. The Israeli Prime Minister and Jared Kushner discuss the issue and next steps, including a transitional governing body for Gaza, an international stabilization force, and Hamas disarmament and reconstruction efforts. These elements may face opposition from Hamas or Israel, or both. The Daily News Now! - Every city. Every story. AI Powered. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
