DOJ Says Michigan Terror Plot Was 'ISIS-Linked'

On November third, federal prosecutors thwarted an ISIS-inspired terror plot in Michigan, arresting several men before they could carry out their planned attack. The suspects, Mohmed Ali and Majed Mahmoud, along with a juvenile, were charged with conspiring to transfer firearms for terrorism. The group, linked to ISIS supporters overseas, planned a Halloween attack, stockpiling weapons, ammunition, and tactical gear. Authorities found rifles, shotguns, handguns, tactical vests, cameras, ammunition, and ISIS propaganda during the arrests, potentially preventing a large-scale attack.
