Episode 318 - The Bennington Triangle: Vanished in Appalachia (Part 1)

In this two-part series, we enter the haunted heart of Southern Vermont—a place where the line between reality and the supernatural disappears as quickly as the people who dare to step off the trail. Welcome to The Bennington Triangle, where ancient curses, vanishing hikers, and whispers in the trees suggest something deeply unsettling going on in these mountains. In this episode, we’re talking about real people who vanished into thin air from one of the most mysterious stretches of wilderness in the U.S. Was it the landscape? A serial killer? Something... not of this world? This is Appalachian folklore meets true crime meets paranormal horror—and we are here for it. Next week in Part Two: Cryptids. UFOs. Time slips. And the one man who came back to tell the tale… Missing Person stories discussed in this episode: Carl Herrick (1943), Middie Rivers (1945), Paula Welden (1946), James Tedford (1949), Paul Jepson (1950) and Frieda Langer (1950).
