Two Blokes Talking Tech

Movies: A League of Their Own

With the men off fighting in World War II, a league of female baseball players is born, and two sisters from a small farm town sign up to chase a dream they were never supposed to have. Under the watch of a washed-up, hard-drinking former star turned reluctant manager, the Rockford Peaches go from a publicity stunt to a team that has to be taken seriously, while the rivalry between the two sisters threatens to tear it all apart. Penny Marshall’s film is funny, warm, and unexpectedly moving, with Tom Hanks, Geena Davis, and Madonna all at their best, and if you have never seen it, The Best Movies You’ve Never Seen, thanks to Fetch and Hisense, is giving you the perfect reason to do so.
