Movies: RoboCop

The 1987 classic RoboCop would be best described as a science fiction action film - but could be seen by many as a glimpse into a heavily privatised corporate run world. Director Paul Verhoeven takes the Edward Neumeier screenplay and places Peter Weller, Nancy Allen, Daniel O'Herlihy, Ronny Cox, Kurtwood Smith, and Miguel Ferrer in to make for a cracking great show. A run-down Detroit could become the host for a new mega city - controlled by RoboCops.
