Writing for Bob Hope
From June 2013: Bob Mills, longtime writer for comedian Bob Hope and author of The Laugh Makers, joins Ed in the studio for a conversation that was recorded on May 29, 2013, the day that would have marked Bob Hope's 110th birthday. In this segment Bob gives Ed and the listeners insight into how Hope's writers put together a typical monologue for his various TV specials.
The Laugh Makers not only provides great insight into Bob Hope (the comic and the person), but takes you behind the series of the final decade of the network TV variety show, while also paying tribute to the "gag men" and "gag women" who made it happen
