The Television Career of Richard Donner

TVC 546.3: From August 2011: Ed welcomes James Christie, author of You're The Director, You Figure It Out: The Life and Films of Richard Donner, a comprehensive biography and filmography that includes a detailed look at Donner's early career as a director of episodic television and made-for-TV movies. Topics this segment include why Donner particularly enjoyed directing such shows as The Wild, Wild West and The Man from U.N.C.L.E., and how the title of James' book stems from a comment that Steve McQueen once made to Donner during production of an episode of Wanted: Dead or Alive.
