Richard Benjamin on Buck Henry, Neil Simon, and Why The Last of Sheila is Really a Game

TVC 478.4: Ed welcomes Golden Globe Award-winning actor and director Richard Benjamin (The Sunshine Boys, The Last of Sheila, He and She, Quark, Catch-22, Goodbye, Columbus, Diary of a Mad Housewife, Westworld, Portnoy's Complaint). Topics include Richard's many collaborations with the likes of Buck Henry, Neil Simon, and Carl Reiner, and how Anthony Perkins and Steven Sondheim infused the screenplay of The Last of Sheila with their personal love of games.

Richard Benjamin and Dyan Cannon appeared at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday, January 26 following a special screening of The Last of Sheila (1973), the clever murder mystery also starring James Mason, James Coburn, and Raquel Welch that has also been cited as the inspiration for the contemporary whodunit Knives Out.
