Happy Birthday, Bob Hope

From June 2013: Bob Mills, former staff writer for The Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts and longtime writer for comedian Bob Hope, joins Ed in the studio for a conversation that originally aired on June 26, 2013---but which was actually recorded on May 29, 2013, the day that would have marked Bob Hope's 110th birthday. Topics this segment include why Hope particularly thrived during the era of variety television.

Bob Mills' book, The Laugh Makers, not only provides great insight into Bob Hope (the comic and the person), but takes you behind the series of the final decade of the network TV variety show, while also paying tribute to the "gag men" and "gag women" who made it happen.
