Caroline Aaron on her new play, The Best Medicine
TVC 751.5: Ed welcomes back Caroline Aaron, the SAG Award-winning actress known around the world as Shirley Maisel, Midge's eccentric mother-in-law, on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and as Pete's wife, Carol, in the CBS series Ghosts. Caroline is currently starring in the West Coast premiere of The Best Medicine, a new one-woman, one-character play by bestselling author Robin Gerber about caregiving, marriage, resilience, and unexpected joy. In The Best Medicine, Caroline plays Rachel, a fiercely independent woman who finally finds a relationship worthy of commitment and marriage, only to find herself tested when her new husband is diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, and Rachel finds herself thrust into a job for which she is least suited: self-sacrificing caregiver. A stand-up comedy class becomes Rachel's salvation and a portal to a transformative truth about life and connection. Performances of The Best Medicine take place at The Odyssey Theatre in West Los Angeles through Sunday, Nov. 15. For tickets and more information, call (310) 477-2055 or go to OdysseyTheatre.com
