Does Matthew Farwell's DNA Defense Actually Hold Up?
Farwell's DNA was on the strap prosecutors say was used to end Sandra Birchmore's life. His DNA was on her underwear. But the defense says his DNA was excluded from under her fingernails, and in a relationship where the two were physically involved for years, they argue his presence on those items is expected. The defense also says the medical examiner was pressured by federal investigators into changing her original finding and that Sandra's mental health history supports an impulsive act. Tony and Bob Motta ask a defense attorney whether any of it can stand against the physical evidence.
