Unexpected Stars Keep Team Alive | Toronto Blue Jays News

This season’s been chaos—preseason predictions? Gone. Barger sidelined, Guerrero Jr. under the hype, and the pitching staff struggling with injuries. But don’t count them out: unexpected rookies are carrying the load. Brett Bateman, a trade pickup, is crushing it at the top of the order with speed and aggression. Spencer Miles, a Rule 5 pick, is pitching like a gem with elite stats. And Sean Keys? Thirty homers across levels—he’s got the power to swing games and is finally getting his shot in the majors.
