Springer Wins Third Silver Slugger, Blue Jays Shine

George Springer, Toronto Blue Jays veteran, secured his third Silver Slugger Award in 2025, this time as a designated hitter, showcasing his powerful offensive performance. Despite not winning in the outfield category, Springers teammates Bo Bichette and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. were also finalists. The team itself was a finalist for the third-ever team Silver Slugger award, ranking fourth in total runs scored during the regular season and leading the postseason. Springers career-high performance in 2025, including thirty-two home runs and eighty-four RBIs, led to a one hundred sixty-six weighted runs created plus and a five point two wins above replacement, underscoring his immense value to the team. His memorable Game Seven home run in the American League Championship Series against the Seattle Mariners propelled Toronto to its first American League pennant in thirty-two years.
