Shane Bieber Returns to Blue Jays on One-Year Deal

Shane Biebers Decision: A Major Win for the Toronto Blue JaysIn a surprising turn of events, starting pitcher Shane Bieber has decided to exercise his player option, returning to the Toronto Blue Jays for the 2026 season. This move secures a top-tier pitcher at a significantly lower cost than what similar players have been commanding on the open market. Had Bieber opted out, he was projected to command over twenty million dollars annually. His return at this price fills a major hole in the pitching rotation and gives the Blue Jays flexibility to pursue other high-impact free agents or bolster their bullpen. DNN | The Daily News Now!
