Blue Jays Sign Pitchers Cease, Ponce

The Toronto Blue Jays are bolstering their pitching staff with significant signings, including Dylan Cease for $210 million and Cody Ponce for $30 million over three years. Ponce, a right-handed pitcher, previously struggled but found success in the KBO league, striking out 252 batters with a 1.89 ERA and 17-1 record. His new addition will complement the Blue Jays existing rotation, including Kevin Gausman, Trey Yesavage, Kevin Gausman, Shane Bieber, and Jose Berrios. These signings address pitching needs left by departing players like Chris Bassitt and Max Scherzer, allowing the Blue Jays to focus on re-signing infielder Bo Bichette. DNN | The Daily News Now!
