Blue Jays Sign Cody Ponce: Strengthening Pitching Staff

The Toronto Blue Jays are bolstering their pitching staff this offseason, signing Cody Ponce, a right-handed pitcher with Korean league experience. Ponce, a former MLB player, earned MVP honors in Korea and has shown improved fastball velocity and a new changeup pitch. The Blue Jays have signed him to a three-year, $30 million contract, generating positive reviews from analysts. Despite already having a strong pitching rotation, the addition of Ponce and Dylan Cease, who signed a seven-year, $210 million deal, makes the Blue Jays a serious contender for the upcoming season.
