Blue Jays Release Lucas, Open Roster Spot

The Toronto Blue Jays are actively rebuilding their starting pitching rotation, with a focus on long-term planning for the 2026 season. Theyve recently released starting pitcher Easton Lucas, opening up a spot on their forty-man roster and creating flexibility for re-signing free agents. Lucas, a left-hander, had a decent amount of playing time in 2025, and this move could provide him with a fresh start in the Nippon Professional Baseball league in Japan. DNN | The Daily News Now!
